The Best Family Resort For Kids In Cancun!

We have Googled our eyes out over the best all-inclusive resorts for kids in the Cancun area until we couldn’t Google anymore! I’m sure you’ve been there… We have always loved The Grand at Moon Palace in Cancun but hadn’t been there since they completed the entire resort. We visited with our two young boys last December and it did NOT disappoint! I really don’t think there is a Cancun resort that comes close this one at all! And my kids (3 and just turned 6 at the time) would agree!

Cash, admiring all the slides that he wasn’t quite tall enough for. Maybe this year!

As we approach our now annual trip back to The Grand, I want to share some of the fun things that there is to do at The Grand for KIDS!! (I would be lying if I said I didn‘t have fun with these activities, too!)

  • The Waterpark!! Lazy river, playground with water slides, big water slides that Cash won’t have to stretch his neck to ride this year, wave pool, and more!! And I must add: The tacos at The Waterpark are delish!!
  • The Playroom!! Where do I even begin! Here it goes…
Giant Lite Bright?! Yes, please!
  • The indoor playground! This playground has all the slides, tunnels, and a big area in the center where you can capture and release tons of balls. And you can even shoot them like cannons at each other. No worries, they don’t hurt. Although, I do believe my kids were trying to secretly hurt each other. Brothers… 😉
  • The bumper cars! Indoor bumper cars? Need I say more?! So fun!
  • The arcade! Games galore, including a Laser Maze, Time Freak (where you have to race to push the lights) which was my kid’s personal fav, and Interactive Sports!
  • The Sky Trail! Here’s a photo of Cash trying it out. He was a little timid at first, but after the first time around he was hooked!
  • Mirror Maze! Always a fun time for the little ones!
  • And lastly, The Playroom on the upper floor is open to children four to eight years old, but they can be younger if there is adult supervision. I am excited to use this free service this December. You can sign your kids into The Playroom on the upper floor for a few hours while you enjoy the resort alone! Maybe a dinner, laying out by the pool without having to watch the little ones! Sign us up!!
This was Axel’s favorite part! All the balloons a kid could want!
  • The Ninth Pin! Bowling is always a family favorite! We didn’t get to do this last year, and Cash cried for HOURS as a result. You have to sign up, and by the time we saw the bowling alley, it was our last night. We will be sure to schedule it this year in advance!
  • Wired Lounge! The family arcade is great for everyone in the family, including parents because you can get a drink or two while the kids are playing games! Winning!! We hit up the arcade almost every night because it is located in the main lobby where most of the restaurants are. Perfect for after dinner! If the kids don’t fall asleep AT the table!
  • Bicycles! We didn’t discover the bikes to rent (for free) until the last day, but we won’t wait that long this time! So much to see at The Grand and so little time. Biking makes it easier to get around for sure!
Cash and his daddy biking around the resort! Ignore my mom voice, haha.

Okay, parents! That’s FIVE (or more) reasons we LOVE The Grand At Moon Palace for vacationing with kids! That’s just my top reasons, there is so much more. It truly is a one-of-a-kind family vacation! And so much fun that my kids fell asleep at dinner five nights out of the seven! No joke! 🙂

We can’t wait to visit again this year!

This was a familiar view every night at dinner. TIRED little boys and too much fun! 🙂
