I never thought I would get SO excited to make my own soap, but I guess that is what you call: ADULTHOOD. 😬😂 I also never thought I would enjoy using essential oils as much as I do, but I do!

So here I am, researching how to make my own foaming hand soap on Pinterest, looking up all the supplies I need on Amazon (which is only two things) and then placing my order and being so excited to get that “arrived” email! 🤗

I want to share how you can make your own foaming hand soap! I was so amazed at how EASY this wase, and I’m a big fan of using safer ingredients, especially with kids around! It was fun and these also make the cutest gifts! PS. I ordered everything right off of Amazon because—convenience!

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Pure Castile Liquid Soap. I bought the gallon because I knew I would be making allll the things after this, but there are smaller options, like this.
  • A foaming soap dispenser. I found these SUPER cute mason jar soap dispensers on Amazon, but didn’t want to pay $20 for two dispensers. So, I ended up finding the foaming soap lids that fit mason jars for under $9!! And they come with their own cute little chalkboard inspired labels! I have lots of mason jars around the house anyway, so this option worked out perfect… If you’re looking for something different and cheaper, try this!
  • Essential oil of your choice. You can use whatever scent you’d like! Some of my favorites for soap would be: Lemon, Thieves, or Christmas Spirit for the Holidays. But there are so many options, you really can’t go wrong! (If you’d like to purchase oils for your soap, I can help you, here.)
  • Water.
I loved this foaming soap lid because it’s plastic, which means it won’t rust!

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup of unscented Castile soap
  • 15 drops of essential oil (more of less depending on how strong you want the smell)
  • Water
A few of my go-go oils for soaps!

Steps:

  1. Pour the Castile soap.
  2. Add 15 drops of oil into your soap dispenser.
  3. Put the lid on tight and shake well!

And that’s it! You’re a foaming hand soap making expert! So easy, right??

What’s your favorite DIY with essential oils? I am obsessed! Share with me in the comments below.
