I’m “Just A Mom.”

Hi, I’m Ashleigh, and I’m in the phase of life where I’m “just a mom.” I’m not a fashion blogger, I’m not even fashionable at this point, and I used to be. I’m not in shape like I used to be, and I hate taking my trash out because it makes me out of breath. 🙄😂 I’m not really any of the things that I want to be on the outside, but I’m my most favorite version of me that I’ve ever been, on the outside… I’m just in a phase of life where I am not my focus, my kids are. Today I have the amazing opportunity to do the hair of the ladies of Cat & Nat, and I’m so excited to meet them! I wanted to wear something that  would make an impression, something nicer than what I wear daily! I couldn’t find anything that I loved because of my body insecurities, but that’s another story… So, I decided, screw it. I’ll wear what I normally wear, but a little nicer. Just be me! That is what these girls are all about anyway, right?! Being real. That is what I stand for, being real. So why try to be someone that I’m not, just for a night? So I found something in my closet to wear and I’m going as a more dressed up version of ME. The me of the season. The mom. The one who rarely takes care of HER. That’s what I’ll be for tonight. I’ve had many opportunities come from this little space on the inter webs, and they’ve all been because of my honesty and real-ness. I think it’s safe to say that being REAL, gets you farther in life. How will anyone know who you really are if you aren’t being you… Stop hiding and start showing up as YOU, even if it’s just a temporary version of you. Be nice to her, she shaping the person you will be. And stop comparing this new you to the old you. She is apart of you, and a part of why you’re here. Love yourself as you are. I’m learning how to do this too…💕
